Outstanding Volunteer of the Month - January
Angela Swett of Image Promotions is in our Volunteer spotlight for the month of January. Image Promotions, an event and meeting planner company, has been a member of the Chamber since 2003. Angela coordinated the 2010 Annual Awards Banquet for the Chamber which was held in January at the River Run Country Club in Davidson. The sold-out event featured Pat McCrory, former Charlotte Mayor as the Keynote Speaker.
Lake Norman Chamber Volunteers of the Month - November and December (2009)
Sarah Little makes a big difference! A life-long resident and jewel of Cornelius, Sarah is our Volunteer of the Month for November. Sarah’s unique status as “native” is one of the reasons she is a priceless asset to the Chamber. Questions about local weather, Lake Norman history and geography, places of interest, community events and service issues come to the Chamber on a daily basis. Sarah has an enormous memory database to pull from and delights the callers with quick, accurate and colorful answers. Sarah also entertains staff and visitors alike with her quick wit and never ending humor. Many thanks, Sarah for your dedication and commitment to our community.
Sharon Simpson, publisher of the Lake Norman CURRENTS magazine, has been named Volunteer of the Month for December. Sharon created a custom relocation guide Great Lake Living for the Chamber which includes everything you need to know to visit or relocate to the Lake Norman area. The annual publication is available in real estate offices, restaurants, hotels, Visit Lake Norman, the Lake Norman Chamber and will be featured in “welcome baskets” provided by various marketing companies. Great Lake Living is also distributed by the Chamber to all who request information on the Lake Norman region.
